Dodge Neon Models…?

9月 9th, 2008 by sherwoodmcguire

The es Highline sedan means that it will have more features such as power windows, locks, cruise control, etc. They are the same car, just a little different. I am not positive, but I think that also 2000 they dropped the DOHC engine, so you could only get the SOHC, but that could have been in 01. After that, in the sxt and such, they offered a magnum SOHC that put out more horsepower. Probably, the most different neon is the SRT-4. This is Chrysler’s fast, sporty compact. It has a 2.4 liter DOHC (verses a 2.0 in the regular neon), turbo, inter cooler, and other various performance and body changes. This is like if you compare it to another car you know, lets take a chrysler town and country for example. Base, you have the T&C without too many features. Then you move up to the LX. You get more features and more options. Then you move up to the Touring and Limited. These are the highest, where you can get the larger engine, more options, and different some different bumpers and such. Good luck with you neon!!

And if you ever need help with it, go to dodgeforum.com

They are the largest forum site for dodge and these guys really know what they are talking about. My name on there is Jr. Mechanic

What is a good job for a 13 year old in Houston, TX with pay or no pay??

8月 11th, 2008 by sherwoodmcguire

I don’t know what your interests are, but my husband is a home builder here in Houston. He’s self-employed, but has always hired 12, 13 and 14 year-olds to help him with manual labor…he drives them around and drops them off places…and then comes back and gets them when they are done. If you were interesting in something like this, I’d keep a notepad with me, and when out driving with my parents, I’d write down phone numbers off trucks…like pick-up trucks that are advertising their remodeling company…and then call them. Tell them you’re off for the summer and are looking for a job…and ask if they need help. A lot of times these people hire illegal workers and would be pleased to hire a young, ambitious kid. I would ask for min. $8/hour.

(MN fan here) Would this trade work for the Suns & Wolves?

8月 10th, 2008 by sherwoodmcguire

sorry…but a quick no and for many reasons…here are a few.

1. Rebuilding in Minnesota…
The T-Wolves would probably do this…getting a stud all-around player in Shawn Marion, and only giving up players they don’t “need”/don’t want to be in Minnesota in Ricky Davis, Juwan Howard, and Marko Jaric. However, the T-Wolves may go for high draft picks and cash before deciding on a superstar around all these new Celti-, i mean new Timberwolves.

2. Matrix’s Value
Good idea on the trade knowing that they’re have been Marion rumors, but Pheonix would want much, (much) more for Shawn Marion. (draft picks, young talent, alonthe lines of that.)

3. Sun’s “new” attitude
The Suns would want much more as said eailier for Marion, but i believe, for now, the Marion rumors are gone as the suns go for another title try this season. Next season, as they try to pay Nash, Amare, Barbosa, a few others, and marion…trade talks may be more realistic. Trading Kurt Thomas for drat picks showed they’re willing to be short(er) in depth (on the bench) to grab a few draft picks (from Seattle) for “later”.
They also brought in veteran Grant Hill, who we all should know, is hungry for a title, and when healthy, is a solid basketball player.

hope this helped.

Why aren’t there private railcars and locomotives?

8月 9th, 2008 by sherwoodmcguire

Many wrong answers :( Folks, don’t make stuff up that isn’t true, when it can be easily researched.

Yes you can own a private railroad car. So many people do that there’s a trade association and a print magazine devoted to the subject: http://www.aaprco.com/Private_Varnish/varnish.html They haul all their cars to a location (changes every year) for a decadent convention!

If you want Amtrak to haul it around, you must maintain it to a standard they specify. Their price won’t kill you (typically 20x the non-discounted coach fare) but you’ll get nickel and dimed a lot by switching charges at each end. Amtrak can also do special moves and special trains, using their equipment or yours, even on non-conventional routes.

You can get the freight railroads to haul you too. Moving your coach as “just another freight car” is reasonably priced, after all, freight is their business. If you want a special movement just for you, that’s a bit more :) But it certainly does happen, for instance the 2007 AAPRCO convention is in Omaha and it looks like a freight railroad is actually competing with Amtrak for the business of moving coaches to Omaha.

Finding a parking place is not that hard, though you are likely to have an industry or railway museum as a neighbor. Having a “special” relationship with a short line railroad doesn’t hurt either.

you are depressed..there are like seven symptoms..you have a few one being you dont want to leave your house and you are tired all the time…if you have tried drugs and they do not work you are going to have to pull yourself out of it..i went thru a depression about 8 years ago..i was watching the today show and it was the seven signs of depression i realized i had five of them..when i realized what was wrong..it was like a light came on..instead of the negatives of life..he is in the air force and gone on all the time focus on the positives.he is in the air force he may be gone but he is doing this for us..he has a paycheck we have a house to live in..our son will have medical care..you should seek out professional care to talk about what the issues are doesnt sound as though the meds are helping you they may not be the right ones or you may just need to talk it out try something new..try to go out for walks with your child..try to work on losing the weight..not i am overweight this is the problem..alot of it is in how you are thinking..stop being negative..try to find a positive in every thing you do..its hard..but when you start to feel that you are coming out of the tunnel you realize the depression is what is holding you down..not the other small things..he may be disabled but he loves you..he is your child..you may be overweight but you can fix that..you can always hate where you live but find something good about it a sidewalk you can walk on..i dont mean to sound harsh in anything i have written i just am trying to explain how i got thru mine..i hope something works for you..dont give up

Cuba or Punta Cana for an all-inclusive resort?

8月 7th, 2008 by sherwoodmcguire

Some very good answers given so far. Many good opinions. Have been to both destinations and both are GREAT destinations. You can’t go wrong with either. Depending on your agenda (beach, water sports, nightlife, couples, kid-friendly, singles, etc.) there are many very nice all-inclusive resorts. The best way for me to book my trips is with the links at http://MyTravelFest.com (Links to Cuba, Thailand and the D.R. there). For D.R. and Thailand Tickets I like Kayak, for Cuba I like Sell Off Airfares. For Cuba I might even suggest Havana-Rentals and tell them you want to rent an All-Inclusive House in Miramar if you want a private vacation. You would basically have your own staff, cook, etc. You can have a driver at your disposal if needed. There are some BEAUTIFUL homes in Miramar, several with pools.

Getting into shape?…?

You might want to try some weight training exercises. They don’t have to be too heavy, all you need to do is buy some 591 ml 7up bottles (and refill em with water) and lift those up and down a few times.

Some basic meal plans would be ones like:

Breakfast: whole wheat toast with peanut butter, or
high fiber cereal or oatmeal
and
some pieces of orange or an apple

Lunch: whole wheat sandwich with tuna (tuna mixed with coleslaw salad dressing is a great alternative to mayonnaise)

Supper: whatever your family cooks-chicken, fish, etc.

Having a bit of protein with each meal can help you stay feeling full so you snack less. Although, if you want to snack, you can always snack on:

cheese
peanut butter and crackers
celery sticks
ham sandwich

In Singapore, I see many men (from Mainland China) never iron their shirt and never cut hair,, why?

8月 5th, 2008 by sherwoodmcguire

There’s nothing wrong with their attire, I’ve seen locals in the same dress up too. It all boils down to their lines of work. There are those who dress smart too but are probably holding an office job and earning a decent salary here. Many PRC (People’s Republic of China) nationals are working mainly as general workers, construction workers, gardeners and cleaners, earning an irregular income of about $18 to $45 daily. Many come from poverty-stricken rural areas and have travelled far from their own countries to work and earn a better living here. Whatever money they earn they will scrimp and save, remit to their families back home and leave very little for themselves. These hard-earned money are used to build houses, pay off loans and for other misc. family expenses.

If you consider these factors, putting food on the table is definitely more important than up-keeping ones image.
